The Bellflower
The historical Bellflower, previously called the XL, was opened in 1930 by Catterall & Swarbrick Brewery and was once in the Guiness Book Of Records for the pub with the shortest name. Today The Bellflower has been acquired and beautifully refurbished by JW Lees Brewery and has reopened, continuing to be a much loved family-friendly and dog-friendly pub, serving up delicious home cooked food alongside a range of award winning beers.
For cask ale lovers, we serve JW Lees Bitter, Manchester Pale Ale and a number of seasonal beers throughout the year. We also pour both Manchester Craft Lager and Original Lager, perfect in our large beer garden and a selection of small-batch Boilerhouse beers; great for a relaxing pint by the fire.
Our new menu features pub classics including the Brewery Tower Burger and John Willie’s beer battered fish and chips, alongside seasonal specials. On Sundays we offer roasts with all the trimmings, bottomless gravy and unlimited Yorkshire puddings.

Our fresh new dishes for Spring & Summer have have been developed and are finally here. Including our seasonal specialities like our Pan fried fillet of seabass and hearty home-cooked favourites, such as the MPA battered cod fillet and brewery tower burger.
We also have our delicious Baked Apple Crumble with custard or pouring cream, perfect for tucking into after a cosy meal. Our small plates and sharers are perfect for enjoying after a day exploring and our Sunday roast is the best way to end the week.

Relax in our spacious beer garden in the heart of Garstang. Here you can enjoy cold pints and home-cooked dishes in a relaxed outdoor setting. Whether you’re after a casual drink or a tasty meal, our beer garden is perfect for soaking up the fresh air and unwinding with friends and family.
After a stroll along the Kendal – Preston Canal that runs through the town and a venture around the historical hidden gems, our beer garden offers a peaceful retreat for those looking for the best of alfresco drinking and dining.
